The fountain features six sculptures of the feathered serpent named Kukulkán among the Yucatec Maya. It consists of 6 columns ending in 6 heads with an open mouth made of concrete and stucco.

Kukulkán is the name of a Mayan serpent deity closely related to the Q'uq'umatz deity of the K'iche people and the Quetzalcoatl of Aztec mythology.

The sculptures are very similar to those that can be seen in Chichén Itzá.
