This fifteen acre complex located on the site of the homestead of General Sam Houston. As part of Sam Houston State University, and dedicated to preserving the memory of Sam Houston (1793-1863) and his times.
The museum is a combination of historic buildings, beautiful grounds, and traditional museum gallery-style buildings. Wear comfortable shoes, plan to walk, and bring your camera!
