The Catalinas are a rugged mountain range in southern Arizona. Catalina Mountains State Park is a popular destination for hiking, biking and geocaching. Scattered throughout the visitor area are signs that describe the geology and wildlife of the area. This signs describes the effect of erosion on the mountains and attempts to orient the visitor to their location in terms of the flow of water and sediment over time.
