This is the second culvert we have found that is constructed of sandstone bricks rather than concrete. There must be others in this area as well, that we have yet to find. This culvert is located on South Broadway (S. eastern), southwest of the town of Guthrie. The culvert carries water from a creek running NW/SE from nearby Rainbow Lake (Cottonwood Creek Site 3 Reservoir). This culvert measures about 5 ft. high and 10 ft. wide. The walls are large sandstone bricks.
WPA shields stamped into the curbing indicate this culvert was constructed in 1937.
