This bridge is located just south of Highway 33 on CR 2940 (Reeding Road), north of Cashion and east of Kingfisher. Although we were unable to find a WPA shield, the construction identical to other bridges and culverts in the area indicates that this, too, was a WPA project. The shield stamping may be buried beneath dirt and gravel which covers the curbing. The concrete railings along the road have four 3 ft. high pillars with indented faces.
The bridge crosses a good sized creek and was built to carry a large amount of water. There are three openings under the bridge, each approximately 10 ft. high and 10 ft. wide. There was a surprising amount of traffic along this road (oilfield tankers and such), and we were impressed that this bridge was standing firm and secure after all these years, not even anticipating the large amount of heavy trafficv the bridge would have to handle. It says a lot for the quality of WPA construction.
