SIR WALTER HUGHES' MEMORIAL. .

ADELAIDE, Wednesday..

Through the munificence of the Hon. J. J. Duncan and the late W. H. Duncan, the Uni-versity of Adelaide now possesses a fine statue of Sir Walter Watson Hughes, one of the founders of the institution. The statue, which has been placed on the lawn in front of the University, and facing the north terrace, was unveiled to-day before a large audience, in-cluding the Governor, by Mrs. Walter Duncan.
