For if you don't you'll not get to the visitor centre's BookCrossing Zone. That's where Twice Over Lightly, by Eric Nicol, was released, "with the fishes", on Tuesday, December 21, 2004. The trout which once held the book is likely a bit bigger than every trout you've ever landed. It's 4.5 metres (15 ft.) in length, has a diameter of 1.1 metres (43 in.) and weighs 565 kg (1,132 lbs.) (and was caught on a 15 pound test line, we hear).

The Kamloops Visitor Centre offers a large selection of local tourism pamphlets and maps. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. When travelling to new areas, the Visitor's Centre/Chamber of Commerce is always one of our first stops. Often times, it's there where we discover new and interesting places to visit.
