DE: Wachtbergs Kugel ohne Kappe
WACHTBERG.

WACHTBERG. In a spectacular mission, the upper quarter of the Radomhülle is currently being replaced.
By Rüdiger Franz, 02.09.2014
Waiting was the motto for all those who on Tuesday hoped for the rare opportunity to look at Wachtberg's landmark "without a cover" or to take a picture. In many cases, the difficult intervention in the radome of the Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Technology (FHR) had to be postponed for technical reasons.
Already in the early morning there was a lot of activity on the area between Berkum and Werthhoven. Even outside the institute - from a kindergarten group to a dozen retirees - early onlookers had gathered to witness the rare spectacle.
