Located at the SW corner of Main and N. Commons Street East, this public library is named after Helen Keller. Across the street is the Alabama Institute for Blind and Deaf. This is a well-maintained library building with a nice lawn on the east side.
A flagpole is erected on the front lawn, and there are benches on the porch at the front entrance.

A plaque at the library front door reads:
