"Following a major renovation in 2017 the pub returned to its original name, the White Hart. The pub is of typical Georgian design. In the 18th and early 19th centuries it was Wymondham's main coaching inn. The large archway to the left of the pub lead to what were once the stables. During this period it was also a centre of entertainment where wrestling, music and other sports contests were promoted.

Food, including breakfast is served all day.

The bar area has high tables whilst the front room has conventional pub tables. To the right and rear is the The Masonic Room. The architecture in this room is very unusual having a classical theme with Grecian arches. The pub features live music, a quiz night and a weekly bingo session on a Tuesday afternoon."

"Dates from c1617.
Scorched timbers perhaps indicate existence before the Wymondham fire of 1615, or evidence of reclamation from other sites?

Contains a hidden gallery which gave access to the `Inn Chambers'.

A Concert of Vocal and Instrumental Musick held here Monday 12th January 1746.

A wrestling match held in 1747 between 24 men offered prizes of silver buckles, gloves and a silver spoon. A shooting competition offered silver spurs to the winner."
