EN: The Todtnau Waterfalls are located north of Todtnau between the main town and the incorporated village Todtnauberg. They can be accessed by a short hike from either town, or a roadside parking in the west, latter has been made wheelchair accessible.
With a total height of 97 meters, the falls belong to Germany's largest waterfalls. The highest single step of the cascade has 60 meters. They were voted into Germany's top ten natural wonders and are a major tourist attraction with over half a million visitors per year. In strong winters they can be completely frozen over.
The waterfalls are a listed bookcrossing zone. Two books have been released here, so far.
DE: Die Todtnauer Wasserfälle liegen nördlich von Todtnau zwischen dem Hauptort und dem eingegliederten Dorf Todtnauberg. Sie können mit einer kurzen Wanderung von beiden Orten oder von einem Parkplatz im Westen erreicht werden, letzterer Weg ist auch für Rollstuhlfahrer zugänglich.
Mit einer Gesamthöhe von 97 Metern gehören die Wasserfälle zu Deutschlands größten Wasserfällen. Der höchste Einzelschritt der Kaskade hat 60 Meter. Sie wurden zu Deutschlands Top-Ten-Naturwundern gewählt und sind mit über einer halben Million Besuchern pro Jahr eine wichtige Touristenattraktion. In starken Wintern können sie vollständig eingefroren werden.
Die Wasserfälle sind auch als Bookcrossing Zone gelisted, bisher wurden hier zwei Bücher abgelegt.
