Gyro Park borders the scenic Columbia River in East Trail. The park offers something for everyone and is a popular destination for family gatherings and events or for people just wanting to enjoy a lovely day in the park. There are many huge trees in the park providing shade, very well maintained flower beds and manicured lawns.

Gyro Parks hosts events such as the Music in the Park series, held at the gazebo, the Smoke & Steel Car Show, and the Terry Fox Run. Facilities are available for large company picnics, weddings, family reunions and other large events.

Gyro Park has river access for just cooling off during the summer and swimming, sandy beaches, picnic tables, a concession stand, open July to September, a great children's playground and spray park, boat launch, fishing, off leash dog area and so much more.

Along the walkways throughout the park there are benches, most of which are dedicated. With its many paved walkways along the river and throughout the park it is easily accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.

Gyro Park is definitely the nicest and most complete park in Trail. Moreover it has been a bookcrossing zone since the release of the first book here, Loving, by Danielle Steele, on Tuesday, February 22, 2005. Since that time two more books have been released here, Don't Look Behind You by Lois Duncan on Sunday, March 13, 2005 and The Branded Man by Catherine Cookson on Thursday, June 09, 2005.
