This is a nearly vertical wooded bluff rising 140 feet above Rock Creek. A view of several miles in all directions can be enjoyed, overlooking the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, south of Sulphur. The town of Sulphur can be seen to the north, and the Arbuckle Mountains and Washita River Valley can be seen to the southwest.

The story goes that frontier outlaws used this area to hide-out, so this lookout is also known as Robber's Roost.
