PFC Miller was from nearby Wichita Falls, and while details of his fate aren't available, some light is shed in his profile on the website of the Virtual Wall for the Vietnam Veterans Memoril in Washington DC (see Website). There is a fuzzy photograph of him there, noting that he was awarded the Purple Heart as well as medals for National Defense, Vietnam Service, and the Vietnam Campaign. He served in the 502nd Infantry Regiment, Company D of the 1st Battalion, 101st Airborne Division. He had only been in Vietnam for three months when he was killed outright in the Thua Thien Province in South Vietnam, a casualty of some type of heavy artillery.

His flat, gray, granite headstone doesn't really appear to be government-issued, but it does resemble it. There's a hole that someone bored into the top, presumably to hold a small flag, and the inscription is:

In Memory of
Larry T. Miller
