On a small knoll under an aging oak tree, stands a bench, a sun dial and two sad wood carvings...all overlooking the blank tombstones of the former inmates of the insane asylum.

County of sundial: Callaway County
Location of sundial: Woods St., Fulton State Hospital Cemetery, Fulton

This sundial has a humming bird, beak down at the base of the "flower" which is really the arm that throws the shadow to show the time of day, at least as the Sun days it is.

There is some great relief art on the base as flowers and vines crawl up the column to the hummingbird.

Sundial Type: Horizontal - Flat base, Ground or Pedestal mounted dial plate
