EN: This wayside cross is located in the village center of Wahlen on the main road. The stone cross is about three and a half meters high and dated 1783 at the top. The painted Jesus figure is clearly younger, because it partially covers engravings in the cross. Above the side arms is "Iesus Maria Ioseph" and below the figure are other symbols, it is not visible whether they are letters or parts of a picture.
DE: Dieses Wegkreuz steht im Dorfzentrum von Wahlen an der Hauptstrasse. Das Steinkreuz ist rund dreieinhalb Meter hoch und an der Spitze mit 1783 datiert. Die bemalte Jesusfigur ist eindeutig jünger, weil sie teilweise Gravierungen im Kreuz verdeckt. Über die Seitenarme steht "Iesus Maria Ioseph" und unter der Figur sind weitere Symbole, es ist nicht zu erkennen, ob es Buchstaben oder Teile eines Bildes sind.
