There are Honour Rolls for those that participated as soldiers in World War One, and World War Two, with individual plaques for those have giving their lives in service to Australia on granite stela around the Park.
The Monuments Australia website below, has an excerpt from 'The Armidale Express' newspaper, of 3 May, 1927, about the Dedication of the Bendemeer Memorial Gates (and Honour Rolls of 'The Great War'); so I can assume that the Park was created in 1927 from that. There is also a very worthy quote, from one of the participants of the Opening. Mr Carlon, "There was not a wasted life among our dead soldiers. My idea of a wasted life is one which goes through life without a thought for others."
More details about the WW1, and WW2 (pending) War Memorials can be found in those Waymarks. There are three covered picnic tables, and separate eco-friendly toilets. It only has a small childrens Playground, with a few Swings. There is a big log as a display, that can be climb upon.
There is also a Memorial to Margaret Sinclair - wife of a local politician, for her work in Girl Guides.
