Looking the same vintage and design as the wooden slat bench for Jim & Molly Short, this bench also has six narrow and long wooden slats for a curved seat part of the bench; with 17 vertical wooden slats between two horizontal boards for the backrest. The top board has the inset brass plaque held in place by four brass screws.
Some of the white etching on the plaque has worn off, but it reads:
"This bench is dedicated to Mary Strang
who loved walking in the Gardens.
With love from Chris, Russell & Emily."
This bench has a little more elevation than the others, and looks down onto the Harbour through a bunch of mature pine trees, from the eastern side of "Government House".
