This was the Coffee Coop for a number of years and just in the last year or so it changed into a little Mediterranean style lunch counter/cafe, the Kootenay Kebab. While the Coffee Coop, it became a bookcrossing zone on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 when
Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe was sent into the world from within to fend for itself.
