From information gleaned from Uralla 'State Heritage Inventory' documents, the local Apex Club of Uralla started improving this Memorial Park in 1969 with the help of the local Council. With the help of the Uralla RSL they were able to source an Anti-Aircraft gun that was used by both the Allied, and Axis forces in World War Two. In various forms it has also been used by EIGHTY (80) countries according to Wikipedia.
This 40 mm Bofors gun on display is still on the wheeled carriage that many worked with.
This gun was placed here
by the Uralla R.S.L.
