The National Capital Commission (NCC) maintains waypoint signs throughout the Greenbelt, a natural area which surrounds the city of Ottawa. The waypoints mark trail intersections. The signs include geographic co-ordinates and a map of other waypoints.

The trail west from waypoint 26 L leads to the Beaver Trail network on the other side of Moodie Drive, 400 metres away. The blue triangles mark the Rideau Trail Association's Lime Kiln Blue Loop trail. NCC trail #26 north from this intersection leads to parking lot P11, 550 metres away.

There are interesting ruins on the west side of the main trail just north of 26 L.
