The Towns' government staff and elected officials have office here. The Council Chambers are here too and the Town is considering a renovation to make the Chambers more accessible. Algonquin Theatre is attached to the building. Its ivy-clad walls rise beautifully above Huntsville's main street.
Tourism has grown into a significant local industry. It's always been popular because of its proximity to Algonquin Provincial Park, the largest wilderness area in southern Ontario. But now, as the number of permanent residents grows, it is becoming very popular for retirees.
