This building took a while to constructed and we thought it would never open. It's nice to see newer buildings being built to look old. It's not as good as the "real thing" but it's a doable substitute.
This is a two story red brick building constructed in 2015. It is addressed as 130 N. Broadway, and is at the corner of E. Campbell Street. The ground floor has multiple storefronts, facing the streets and a shopping parking lot on the south. The second floor has offices, and all the windows are large tri-pane fixed units with large glass fanlights. The sills are brick, with a row of standing brick beneath. Brick arches with concrete keystones are over each unit. The roof line has a concrete frieze with small pediments.
The ground floor display windows are segmented with clerestories above and concrete headers. Each unit has a single aluminum and glass door with sidelights and transom and a flat canopy. The northwest corner is canted with the date 2015 shown at the roof line. The date is also shown on the southeast corner of the building in similar fashion. The entrance at the southeast has a large concrete two-story surround, and the entrance at the southwest corner has a small balcony above.
The ground floor is fully occupied with a boutique, candy shop, coffee and wine bar, and a salon, to name a few. This is a nice addition to the downtown area.
