The 9 Rabbits Bakery is a modern airy space in an otherwise nondescript 1980s strip shopping center 1 block west of Royal Lane and Harry Hines Blvd. 9 Rabbits ot only does anazing cakes and baked items, they also serve delicious herbal teas and cold boba tea drinks.

"We were in the mood for a boba tea after a meal at Nurungji Chicken, and this place looked so inviting from Royal Lane that we had to stop in! :)
9 Rabbits is a beautiful light-filled bakery with dozens of delicious and exotic desserts arranged appealingly in an easily-browsable self-service area. Cookies to the left, breads and other kinds of baked goods to the right - or do what we did: start with the cookies and make the whole circuit. Just grab an tray and start piling it full of delicious wrapped treats!
We loved the whimsical banana-shaped banana breads, the perfect butter cookies with praline topping, the striking strawberry pastry twists and the swirled cake slices in beautiful colours and exotic flavours. We piled our tray high with things to try.
After we had a tray full of things for later, it was time for bobas. We ordered 3 bobas: (1) a blended mocha boba with a shot of hazelnut (a regular coffee order at Starbucks) that was BETTER than Starbucks! (2) a Dutch cold-brew vanilla latte that was also better and smoother than Starbucks and (3) a Taro boba that was to die for delicious!! It was creamy and delicately flavoured with fun bobas - our new fave boba flavor!!
Next to the cash register, the cold case is stocked with impossibly beautiful cakes in exotic flavours topped with perfect fruits and charming decorations. We loved the little mice made of frosting and almonds on top of the sweet potato cake, and crown of fresh berries arrangements on the taro cake. Mocha cake was topped with coffee beans, dark chocolate and strawberries - a delight for the eyes and surely also the tastebuds :)
The whole bakery is filled with light. A dozen or more tables welcomed folks who were working while munching on cookies and sipping coffee drinks. What a pleasant place to be on a pretty spring day!
We will definitely stop in again!!
