The weathervane is in the rear garden of a property on the Barrule Park housing estate and can best be viewed from May Hill which overlooks the garden. The coordinates given are of the spot on May Hill closest to the weathervane.

The weathervane shows a Bird of Prey in flight with its talons extended as though about to grasp its prey. The weathervan appears to be metal with has a bronze-finish.

The Bird sits atop the central pivot of the arrow at the apex of the weathervane. The weathervane itself is on top of along pole to raise it the level of the first storey windows of the house.
