A short walk down a paved path brings you to one of the Corona Del Mar Beaches. Parking is quite a challenge and it is a popular beach. The arch is a ways off the shore.

It is made up of the Monterey Formation. There are many tidepools along the shore in the folds of the Monterey Formation layers.
