One of over 140 Quilt Art examples on the Prince Edward County Quilt Art Tour, this great piece is located on the front face of the Prince Edward County Hospital in Picton.
It was unveiled in December of 2016.
The Quilt Art features stylized stars over a Maltese-style cross, emblematic of the Red Cross, and the Order of St John of Jerusalem, both of which are related to care for sick and injured.
It was made possible by the Marysburgh Mummers Community Theatre Group.
The inscription on the small marker affixed to wall reads:
"Points for Care"
This quilt block is a geographical hug for our County's
health care workers from staff, volunteers friends and family"
The hospital is located at 403 Main Street (Hwy 49) in Picton.
Your Visit: Very impressive block, although I am a sucker for angular, simplistic styles and colours.
