With its above-rail glass concourse, the new Oshawa train station is a wonderful place for trainspotting passenger and cargo rail traffic.
The passenger traffic is double decker trains that ply the GO Transit system between Oshawa and Toronto as well as the longer distance VIA Rail network. The cargo traffic is due to the abundance of manufacturing in the area including a very large General Motors facility.
