Gravenhurst's Post Office was built as a one storey building in 1926. A second storey and clock tower were added in 1931. It was designated a heritage property in 2015.
All four faces of the clock were restored and returned to functioning in 2015. The clock faces are white, the hands are black with normal numbers.
Further additions to the building were made in 1934 and 1951 and the retail lobby was upgraded in the 2000s. The tower is topped by a metal cupola.
