Deaver Memorial honors veterans from World War II in the area and is at the corner of W. 1st Street and 1st Avenue.

The Deaver World War II memorial was placed in this small Veterans Memorial Park by the American Legion Post 50 in 1948. The park is well maintained and there is a raised triangular flowerbed and several dedicated benches. This is the second memorial placed at this location by the American Legion.

The World War II plaque is attached to a four sided cairn that sets on a plinth. It is made of cast cement and is painted, it stands about 6 feet in height and tapers to almost a point at the top. It is at the entryway leading to the larger memorial dedicated in 2006 by the American Legion behind this World War II memorial. The plaque is transcribed as follows:
