This sign at the Rest Area gives a short account of: a Traveller's Account of an early crossing of the Blue Mountains and stopping at Bulls Camp, a summary of Aboriginal Heritage of the area, the early Coxs Road, and Road Building techniques in the 1800's.
The map is one of Surveyor General John Oxley's, with superimposed town names of the Blue Mountains, and an acute red wedge, to point to where you are on the 'Old Bathurst Road' aka Coxs Road, or now known as 'The Great Western Highway'.
