Am Anfang sowie höchsten und südlichsten Punkt des Rappenalptals steht der Grenzstein 147 und es endet in Einödsbach, dem südlichsten Ort Deutschlands. In der Mitte des Tales fließt der Rappenalpbach, der in seiner Quellregion noch als Haldenwanger Bach bezeichnet wird.

The highest and southernmost point of this Valley is at the boundary stone # 147. Its northern (ending or starting) point is at the small (southernmost) town Einödsbach. In the mid of this valley is the river Rappenalpbach, which is called Haldenwanger Bach near its origin.
