La villa gallo-romaine de Brachaud, construite au Ier siècle, faisait partie d'un domaine agricole propriété d'un riche magistrat d'Augustoritum.
Elle comprends la maison d'habitation et des thermes avec leurs salles froides, tièdes et chaudes, chauffées par un système d'hypocauste, et une piscine circulaire alimenté par un aqueduc souterrain taillé dans la roche
La villa a été abandonnée au cours du IVe siècle, dépouillée de ses riches décors et des matériaux précieux, avant de tomber en ruine et d'être redécouverte en 1973.

The Gallo-Roman villa of Brachaud, built in the first century, was part of an agricultural estate owned by a rich magistrate of Augustoritum.
It includes the dwelling house and thermal baths with their cold, warm and hot rooms heated by a hypocaust system, and a circular pool fed by an underground aqueduct carved into the rock.
The villa was abandoned during the fourth century, stripped of its rich scenery and precious materials, before falling into ruin and being rediscovered in 1973.
