The Confluence Church of the Nazarene was organized in 1938 by Pittsburgh District Church Superintendent Rev. O. L. Benedum, who was elected to the post one year prior.
In 1976, due to a growing congregration, the sanctuary was expanded. Four Classrooms, a Nursery, a Study for the minister, church office and two restrooms were added. All work, with the exception of the roofing was completed either by members of the church or by friends of the church or the community. The dedication was held on Easter Sunday of that year.
