Parque La Ceiba - Playa del Carmen, Mexico - Grand Opening on Waymarking.com

Parque La Ceiba is the first public, ecological and cultural park in Playa del Carmen. Since 2008, the year of its opening, it has been promoted as a space for learning, recreation, creation and artistic and cultural awareness for the community. The park annually receives approximately 24,000 visitors and performs various festivals and environmental and cultural meetings.

One of the main objectives is to be able to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants of the area. Carlos Manuel Joaquín González (born January 6, 1965) is a Mexican politician, governor of the state of Quintana Roo as of September 25, 2016. In 1999, he became an active member of the PRI. He was treasurer of Solidaridad, Quintana Roo (the municipality containing Playa del Carmen) from 2002 to 2005 and Municipal President from 2005 to 2008. From 2009 to 2012 he was Deputy of the LXI Legislature of the Congress of Mexico representing Quintana Roo.
