They, back then, did not use tombstones for these victims because of the fear the disease could escape from underground along the stone.

Marker Text: Here, in these unmarked graves, lie the earthly remains of those who died in the cholera epidemics of 1850-1852. Their spirits overcame and now rest in the Lord.
During the cholera epidemics, they, the people doing the burials, did not care who, nor where the remains came from, just that the cholera had to be buried...maybe a few knew the names of some being buried, but most never asked nor cared. Just get them into the ground.
There is no record of who is here, nor has there ever been a record of who was interred. Church cemeteery records just list it as mass burial of cholera victims.
