[DE] "Die Christuskirche ist die Stadtkirche der evangelischen Gemeinde und ehemalige Kirche des Minoritenklosters. Es handelt sich um eine hochgotische Hallenkirche mit nur einem Seitenschiff. Die Kirche ist über 50 m lang und 14 m breit. Der größte Bestandteil des Mauerwerks besteht aus Tuffstein. Einige Werkstücke sind aus Trachyt gefertigt. Mit dem Bau wurde 1245 begonnen – vollendet wurde er 1450. Die Kirche diente als Grabkirche von Adels- oder Bürgerfamilien. Die Christuskirche von Andernach gehört zu den größten und besterhaltenen Minoritenkirchen im Mittelrheingebiet."

[EN] "Christuskirche the town church of the protestant congregation and a former monastery of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual (franciscans). It is a gothic nave church with only one side aisle. The construction was started in 1245 and finnished around 1450. The church also used to serve as burial ground for the Rhenish nobility."
