Cette ancienne maison canoniale a été érigée dans la seconde moitié du XVIe siècle pour le chanoine Jean Brictius, doyen de la collégiale Saint-Denis. Elle devint propriété de la famille Baar-Lecharlier de 1870 aux années 1960. Il s’agit d’une construction de style gothico-Renaissance élevée vers 1540, agrandie au XVIIe siècle et transformée aux XIXe et XXe siècles. De plan en H, l’hôtel se compose d’une aile centrale au sud, de deux ailes perpendiculaires à l’ouest et d’une aile perpendiculaire à l’est. Ces bâtiments délimitent deux cours latérales couvertes en 1872 et en 1890.

Le corps central de trois niveaux est encadré par deux ailes plus basses. Le rez-de-chaussée en moellons de grès et calcaire est percé d’un portail à colonnettes gothiques. Les étages en briques et calcaire conservent trois baies gothiques au linteau en accolade. Les autres baies, pour la plupart jadis à croisée et piédroits chaînés, ont été agrandies ou remplacées par des baies rectangulaires au XIXe siècle.

Dit voormalige canonieke huis werd in de tweede helft van de 16e eeuw gebouwd door de Kanunnik Jean Brictius, decaan van de Collegiale kerk Saint-Denis. Het werd het eigendom van de familie Baar-Lecharlier van 1870 tot de jaren 1960. Het is een constructie in gotisch-renaissance stijl gebouwd rond 1540, uitgebreid in de 17e eeuw en getransformeerd in de 19e en 20e eeuw. Van plan tot H bestaat het hotel uit een centrale vleugel in het zuiden, twee vleugels loodrecht op het westen en een vleugel loodrecht op het oosten. Deze gebouwen begrenzen twee zijmuren bedekt in 1872 en 1890.

Het centrale lichaam van drie niveaus wordt omlijst door twee lagere vleugels. De begane grond van zandsteen en kalksteenpuin wordt doorboord door een poort met gotische kolommen. De stenen en kalkstenen vloeren behouden drie gotische baaien met een latei-omhelzing. De andere baaien, meestal ouderwets en cross-linked, werden vergroot of vervangen door rechthoekige baaien in de 19e eeuw.
