The historical building Penha Building is the southernmost merchant building along the row of buildings known as Handelskade. It was build in 1708 in the 18th century Curaçao Baroque style of architecture. The yellow and white building is characterized by curved gables, front and side façades with arcades having tall shutter windows flanked by pilasters, and elaborate plastered ornamentation. The building is now the flagship store, of the Penda Company which sell fragrances, cosmetics and apparel throughout the islands of the Caribbean.
