At the St. Cyriakus church in Mendig is a working clock mounted to the tower.
The clock has a white background, brown hands and roman numerals.
The year of creation is unknown.
"The outer walls of the old church are plastered. At the Gothic chapel, which was built in place of the south apse, the black cuboids of the buttresses of basalt lava stand out. The east wall is divided into three arches over pilaster strips. The central round arch is cut into a baroque round arched window, the outer arches are cloverleaf shaped. The motif of the cloverleaf arch is thought to have been taken from the Basilica of St. Castor in Koblenz, where it appears from 1160 onwards. Another clover arch spans three round arched windows cut into the gable.
Four round arched windows arranged in pairs divide the clerestory of the nave. In the southern side aisle there is a Romanesque entrance portal, framed by double round edging bars. These form knots at fighter level instead of capitals. The oak door with its iron fittings is late Romanesque. The baroque door frame dates from 1717, as well as the inscription: If life goes down, death cometh, O man thou hast rightly researched God."
