In Boston's Dorchester neighborhood, within the Cedar Grove Cemetery, is this mausoleum, one of a pair.
The cemetery is located along the southern edge of the city, by the Neponset River Estuary between Boston and Quincy. The cemetery is bounded by Granite Avenue, Milton Street, Adams Street, and Butler Street, and the Neponset Greenway - a pedestrian way. The main entrance is at the intersection of Milton Street and Adams Street. It is near lot 31 on the cemetery map.
The two mausoleums are located in the western part of the cemetery, west of the trolley tracks through the cemetery and near the path to the Butler Street entrance. The marked here is the southern of the two.
This, like its twin, is a brick-shaped structure that has a 4x9 matrix of stone tiles, most with names and symbols on them. On the other walls are rough stone. In front of the mausoleum is a plaza to walk around and behind is a raised plaza where there are more graves.
the mausoleums look pretty modern.
