money. Good luck finding a place to plug in your gadgets, so with that said...
This is a cozy little spot, with about twenty tables inside a small red building not too far south of I-35E. Service is pretty good, and they'll put some chips and salsa and bean soup in front of you before taking your food order. There's a little bit of Tex-Mex, a little bit of authentic Mexican, see the gallery for menu photos, and you can get breakfast whenever they're open. Check the board for any daily specials, and if you're there between 11 AM and 3 PM on a weekday, they've got a lunch menu. The plate that they will put in front of you is REALLY hot (temperature), with good-sized portions, and if you still have room, they've got dessert, too.
They have a small beer menu -- they can do a Michelada for you, upon request -- as well as canned and bottled beverages, like the imported Coca Cola, Jarritos, and Manzanita. Don't worry about that "private club" bit that you see on the sign outside, as that's an archaic holdover from Prohibition to go with some of Texas's dry counties, which no longer include this one.
