This is the first of two current time capsules on the grounds of the Grayson County Courthouse, 100 W Houston St, Sherman, TX. Placed in time for the 1976 Bicentennial, it is near the base of the Confederate memorial.

The time capsule is a block of red granite, angled at the top, and it has text not only on the top, but also on the front, the shorter side::
