Above the roof, slightly sloping, the wall of the first bay continues in a bell tower with two arches, which seems to be entirely a creation of the late nineteenth century.
Indeed, in 1886, A. Brouillet wrote that "the bell tower is wooden and is located in the center of the four bays and accessible by means of a staircase".
This steeple has now disappeared but the staircase remains in its tower half-starboard resting against a buttress of the north wall.

Au dessus de la toiture, peu pentue, le mur de la première travée se poursuit en un clocher à deux arcades, qui semble être entièrement une création de la fin du XIXème siècle.
En effet, en 1886, A. Brouillet écrit que "le clocher est en bois et qu'il est situé au centre des quatres travées et accessible au moyen d'un escalier".
Ce clocher a aujourd'hui disparu mais l'escalier subsiste dans sa tour demi-hors-oeuvre appuyée contre un contrefort du mur nord.
