The headstone inscription reads:

IN LOVING MEMORY OF GEORGE F TEETER
BORN DEC 19, 1886
ACCIDENTALLY KILLED AT G.T.R. CROSSING
JAN 16, 1909
______________
JENNIE G, HIS WIFE
BORN MAY 20, 1887
ACCIDENTALLY KILLED JAN 16, 1909

Although not explicitly stated, it is highly probable that both George and his wife Jennie were killed by the same accident, given that they were born "accidentally killed" on the exact date.
Also not stated is how they were killed - most likely struck by a train given the location (Grand Trunk Railway crossing).

There are at least 3 other "Teeters" buried there and listed on the grave, but they died either years before or years after the accident that claimed the life of the 22-year-old George and his 21-year-old wife Jennie.

I was unable to find any article online to describe the accident.
