The Lock Keeper pub is located beside the Shropshire Union Main Line Canal in Chester. It was formerly called the Frog & Nightingale, Fortress & Firkin, Lock Stock & Barrel and Evergreens.

The Lock Keeper has a pillory and a hanging pub sign. They are round in shape and modern in design and have replaced the traditional rectangular signs. The simplistic design depicts the outline of a grey barge on water set in the centre with Lock Keeper in white lettering above.

It is a large canal side inn, furnished to a high standard with wooden flooring, wood panelling and high ceilings from its previous use as a warehouse.

There is a fantastic outside seating area perfect for an al fresco lunch or dinner.

All meals are made fresh with the option to choose from the all-day menu or the in house chalked boards with daily specials and meal deals.

Separate function spaces are also available with a number of options suitable for business meetings, private dining and any special occasion.
