On the left-hand side of the Memorial K13 pond is a tall sandstone stela, that has multiple bronze plaques on it. The topmost (square) one explains the background of the Memorial Park, while the next two (tall, parallel), list the submarines lost in WW1. The next plaque gives a 'nautical' Biblical Verse and details where the WW1 plaques came from. The bottom two parallel tall tablets list the British submarine losses from the end of World War One, through World War Two, through to 1955. From top to bottom of the stela the plaques read:

This Park was donated to the City
of Parramatta and the Memorial was
erected in honour of H.M.Submarine
Service, Royal Navy, by Charles Albert
Harry Freestone a survivor of K13,
who after leaving the Royal Navy founded
and for the next thirty years developed
the business of C.A.Freestone Pty. Ltd.
in Parramatta and district.
