I found and old photo in historic archives of this tombstone with a note on the back.
Note in ink on back of photo reads: Monument on grave of Archie Bowman on Howell Cemetery near Howell, St. Charles County. He was born April 23 - 1874. - Died of wounds received in service in U.S. Army in France Nov. 17 - 1918. His body brought back April 10 - 1921. He gave his all for democracy.
