Raymond Pioneer Museum's emphasis is on local history, the development of Raymond and the early Mormon settlers who arrived from Utah to work on the Galt Irrigation Canal, to homestead the land and to build local communities. Raymond is a historic town with a rich history in agriculture, especially the early Sugar Factory where over 250,000 acres were used for sugar beets. The Museum is also home to the Raymond Sports Hall of Fame which showcases the strong tradition of sport in the community.

This is a great museum to visit and to learn about Raymond and other local communities. Admission is very reasonable and guided tours are available during the summer season. The Raymond & District Historical Society was formed in 1989 and operates the Raymond Pioneer Museum.

One of the first things you will notice on the grounds is the World War I memorial with a soldier in solemn pose. There is also a World War II plaque that was added later.
