The welcome sign with its bucking bronco is most fitting as Raymond is where it almost all began. In 1902, Jesse Knight organized the first outdoor stampede in Canada and it has happened every year since on July 1st.

This black silhouette is very well done and sits on top of the welcome sign reminding residents, visitors and passersby that this is a rodeo town.

Raymond is in the County of Warner No. 5, Alberta and has approximately a population of 3,708 residents. Raymond was founded in 1901 by mining magnate and industrialist Jesse Knight, who named the town after his son, Raymond.
